What We Believe

At Arcadia First Baptist Church, our faith is rooted in the timeless truths of Scripture.
We embrace the core doctrines of the Christian faith, seeking to live them out in our daily lives and community.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is our ultimate guide for faith and practice, revealing God’s will and truth for all people.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, yet distinct in person and role.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became fully human while remaining fully divine. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose from the dead. Through His sacrifice, we are offered forgiveness and eternal life.

We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s presence in the world today. He convicts of sin, empowers believers for service, and guides us into all truth. The Spirit dwells within every Christian, equipping us for godly living.

We believe all people are created in God’s image, male and female, and are of equal value. However, humanity has fallen into sin, resulting in separation from God. Yet, God offers grace and redemption to all who repent and believe.

We believe salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by works but is a personal decision to trust in Christ as Savior. Once saved, believers are secure in God’s love forever.

We believe the Church is the body of Christ on earth, called to worship God, edify believers, and evangelize the world. The Church is a community of believers who support and encourage one another in faith.

We believe in the future, visible return of Jesus Christ to earth. He will establish His kingdom, judge the living and the dead, and make all things new.

We believe baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. It symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is an act of obedience and the first step in following Jesus.
